Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. The day should be full of joy, laughter and happiness. And I’ll be there to capture it all.  Remember, not every wedding is the same so it is important that your style, personality and individuality shine through!

"Paul! I'm actually speechless, they have completely thrown me! I loved every single one, never would I have thought I'd be happy with so many photos!!!" Meg and Connor

Can we meet you and then how do we book you?

Absolutely! I almost insist on it! I like to make sure we are a good fit and get to know my couples before shooting one of their most important days. I am based in North Eltham, Victoria but will travel to you if time allows. I am also happy to meet you somewhere in between. If you are overseas, interstate or it’s just more convenient for you we can set up a Zoom/Facebook video date instead. If you want to go ahead – awesome! I will then send you a photography agreement for you to read over. A $500 retainer is used to secure your date with the final balance due within one week of your wedding date.

Do you support same sex marriage?

Hell yeah! Love is love baby!..

Can we organise an engagement shoot with you to get a feel of the vibe?

Yes definitely! This would be a great opportunity for you to get comfortable in front of the camera and to be able to spend some time with me which in itself is worth the commitment! Let me know if you are keen and we can chat about details.

Is it just you taking photos on the day?

Yes. The more people holding cameras on the day, the more likely you are to notice us! The best way for me to capture candid moments amongst you and your guests is to go unnoticed. However, if you have things that may overlap during the day, have more than 150 guests or would just prefer a second shooter I can provide you with a quote. I work with a number of lovely experienced wedding photographers.

Can you stay for more time on the day?

Of course! If on the day you decide you would like me to extend my coverage a little longer, the rate is $250 per hour.

Do you edit all the photos?

I certainly do. What you see on my website and social media is what you will get. I will make minor adjustments to every image; colour corrections and tweaks, black and white conversions, straightening and cropping. The editing process is just as much part of my service as the shooting aspect; it takes just as long if not longer. Having said that, I don't go overboard with edits and prefer a clean, classic, film style process. The last thing I want is for you to look at your photos in a few years’ time and feel they are "dated" by trendy editing processes.

Do you travel?

Heck yes! My passport is current and I love the opportunity to see new places and photograph in different light. I will charge a travel fee if your wedding is more than 80kms from North Eltham and if your wedding is a long drive from my home or interstate I will generally charge for flights and one night’s accommodation. But depending on where and when I can be negotiable on this. Combining my work with travel is my greatest joy so whether it’s in rural Victoria, interstate or on the other side of the world, let me know and we can work something out.

How long before I get to see my photos?

I will email you a link to your ‘highlights reel’ online gallery of around 60 of my favourite pics from your wedding day when your images are ready to go (allow 4-6 weeks post wedding day) so that you can share them with eager family and friends. The whole collection is sent a few days later online.

How do we receive our images?

I will post a small handful of your wedding day images on my Social Media pages within 48 hours of your wedding day. Once the editing process is complete (4-6 weeks from your wedding day) I provide initially an online ‘highlights reel’ gallery which makes sharing with family and friends really easy and is particularly great if you have family and friends overseas or interstate that would love to see your photos. I then deliver the full online gallery of all of your images in both high and low resolution non-watermarked Jpegs for you to download. The gallery can of course be shared with family and friends and also gives you access to my online store where you can purchase prints, canvasses, framed prints and stunning high quality albums all made right here in Australia. You then can choose 20 of your favourite images for printing which will be delivered in a beautiful presentation box.

How many images are taken?

I tend to take a lot of images on the day. In post shoot production I delete the “junk” (those images that I think are not presentable i.e. subject with eyes closed etc) before settling on the images I will use. The images I will use are then processed through Photoshop to correct skin tones, hide blemishes, enhance colour etc. The final number of images presented usually depends on the length of the shoot and how it all comes together on the day but is usually in the range of around 600-800  images for full day coverage.

Will you supply every single photo you take?

I do not supply unedited ‘RAW’ photos. To me, the actual sorting and editing process is just as much a part of the job as the actual wedding shoot itself, which all makes for the final product in my own unique style that you will receive. The discarded photos are not usually worth keeping anyway; test shots, people blinking etc.

Can I provide you with a list of shots I want?

By all means yes. I do find that the most beautiful candid and creative moments come when my couples allow me space to see the things unfold around me. While it’s tempting to consider me merely there to capture the minute to minute details of the event, my job is to capture your bigger story; to create the images that will transport you back to that day and make you remember how you felt. The magic happens in the moments in between. If there are certain people or details that you really want captured on the day, just let me know. The only list I do ask for is a list of family and friends photos.

Do you need a meal on the day?

Yes please! If I am booked over a period where meals are served it would be greatly appreciated if you could squeeze in some catering for me. Everyone works better with a little fuel and capturing a wedding takes a heap of energy! The venue will usually seat me with other suppliers that attend the reception such as DJ, band, video guy etc.

What gear do you use?

I use two Canon bodies with a series of prime lenses and I generally only use flash to capture the action on the dancefloor; this allows me to capture the stunning quality of natural light, whether its sunshine or twilight- allowing you to look back through your photos and think 'wow that’s exactly how the day looked and felt!'

How long do you keep my photos for?

I still have copies of the first ever wedding I shot back in 2005 so I will generally never delete them just in case. Having said that, when you get your full online gallery I highly recommend making a few copies and storing one at home and one at a family member’s house.

Are you insured?

Absolutely, I have $20,000,000 public liability insurance.

Can you recommend a videographer/celebrant/makeup artist?

Yep! I’ve been doing this for over ten years and have met some very talented and passionate people. Let me know and I can give you some names! My partner Tania for example is one of Melbourne’s best and most sought after Hair & Makeup Artists. Tania can be contacted via her website www.princessbrides.com.au

Do you do albums/prints?

As part of the presentation package you will receive a selection of 20 6’ x 4’ prints. I believe in printing your photos and having something tangible to flick through or put on the wall. Albums – absolutely! These can be purchased via my online store when you receive your online image gallery. You can also purchase additional prints, canvasses etc via my online store as well.

How do we go about booking you in?

Simply pay the $500 non-refundable retainer of your chosen option via cash or EFT and I am officially yours for the day! I will then send you a Contract and Agreement for you to read over. The final balance due within the week prior to your wedding date.
